Welcome to BoSStats, the site dedicated to improving the world of work. Help yourself -- as well as everyone who works -- by discussing what makes a good boss, or sharing your experiences of office politics. You can also comment and vote on the posts made by others.

For your convenience and peace of mind, this site does not use cookies, nor collect email addresses. To protect yourself and others, please refrain from using real names (including company names) in your posts.

Technology

The design philosophy of this site is to keep everything lightweight, to improve the user experience. The scripts are very small, stylesheets control the entire layout, and the removal of any unnecessary element is a priority. In addition, the user interface is as simple as possible, with no cumbersome registration procedures nor intrusive demands for personal information.

The platform on which the site is built is called FlightFeather. It is Free/Open Source Software. The name reflects the idea that, in order to soar, an application needs to be built like a bird -- from light, strong components that are elegant in their construction -- instead of overpowering everything through brute force.
